Did you file Joint but not add his info?  Wait and see if it gets Accepted or Rejected.  If it rejects you can fix it and resend it.  But if it gets accepted you have to wait until the IRS finishes processing it, then you can amend it.  So it may be a long time.

 

You should download the .tax2020 data file NOW in case you need to  amend using the Desktop after online closes.

And in case you become tempted to switch to filing married filing separately, you are not allowed to change from a joint return to separate returns after the filing deadline.

 

So if you did not enter your spouse's income on a joint return, wait for it to be processed and then amend to add the rest of your joint income.  All of the income from both spouses has to go on the ONE joint return.
