Can I change my economic impact payment after I have entered the total in? I accidentally put the total sum in one line rather than spreading it out.

That may not matter.  Did you get the full amount for both rounds?  Did it give you some credit on 1040 line 30 that you shouldn't have got?

Have you filed?  If not, go back.  

After you have entered your tax information and are ready for the Federal Review, it will be the first question.

If you are trying to trigger it, you can go to Other Situations, answer any questions and click Done. The next automatic selection is Federal Review and it will ask about payments received.

Update   IT DOES MATTER!  I tested a Single return and put the total for both 1800 in box 1 and it gave me the 600 for the 2nd Stimulus again.  Yikes!
