Can I carry my son as a dependent if he has already filed his taxes?

He doesn't pay rent because he doesn't make enough.

We do not have any information about your son so we cannot answer you.   We do not know his age, how much he earned, whether he is a full-time student.....etc.etc.etc.

My son is 25 and he works part time so is that possible to still carry him as a dependent?

@swilks4 If your 25 year old son made more than $4300 in 2021 you cannot claim him as a dependent--he is too old and made too much to be either a qualifying child or a qualifying relative.
