Can I only amend my federal tax return during office hours or when office is open Monday through Friday?

Anytime.  24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Has your 2022 original return been Accepted? You need to wait for it to fully process and you get the first refund. Then you can Amend.

And..do not expect quick results from amending.   It will take the IRS at least six months-- or longer -- to process your amended return.
