If you didn’t do your return with TurboTax amending it would be difficult. Might be better to have the preparer who did it to amend it.

Yes, you can (and should) amend your 2023 tax returns.  To amend a return you did not file with TurboTax you will need to buy the desktop software.  You have to prepare/creatre an original return that is identical to the return you filed, even if though it wasn't done correctly. You need to make the program think you filed, so indicate you will file by mail, then print a copy of that return so the program thinks you filed the return you just created and printed.  Save your return and exit.  Restart TurboTax, open your return and click on the amend button.

If the error was the preparer's fault, the preparer should prepare the amended return for you at no charge.
