As of August 2020, the IRS says we are now able to amend our 2019 taxes electronically. However, I have not been able to find a way to e-file. Does anyone know how?

E-filing of a 2019 tax return or amended tax return using TurboTax closed after October 2020.  You can now only print, sign, date and mail the 2019 federal amended tax return, Form 1040-X, to the IRS.

The IRS has not indicated one way or the other if a 2020 amended tax return can be e-filed.

Not yet, the IRS has not started accepting tax returns for the 2021 tax season. You won't be able to file an amended return until the initial one is accepted.
