When you file your taxes, if you are using Direct Debit and are filing before the deadline, you can specify a date up to the deadline for the IRS to debit the taxes owed (but only up to the deadline - april 18th 2017). You can follow the instructions below to set up direct debit if you haven't filed yet. Since we're almost at the deadline (April 18th) the IRS will probably debit your bank account once it accepts your tax return as you can't instruct them to delay the debit any longer than that.
