Are 2019 tax refunds backed up? Here we are in August and I have not received a refund date and I filed in May????

Yes ...the Covid situation closed the IRS almost completely for more than 3 months so everything is coming out much slower.

some taxpayers have stated it took 6 months to get their refunds. just keep checking your refund status. you did get an acceptance e-mail right?
