I filed my taxes on March 25th. I owe taxes. I received notice that my fed and state were accepted so I opened TurboTax and the program installed an update. With the update installed the amount I owe decreased by a few hundred dollars. What do I need to do to benefit from the reduced amount due before the fed takes the funds out of my bank?

Did you file a 1099-G for Unemployment Comp? You do not need to amend for Federal.

I'm not sure that you understand the issue. I made no changes to my filing after submitting. A Turbo Tax update was made after I submitted my filing and the update appears to have changed what I owe the government. So what do I need to do to realize the lesser amount I owe the government since they are going to withdraw a larger amount than I owe?
I had the same thing happen to me but the opposite. I owed federal taxes, I filed and paid. I am no finalizing my state taxes so went back in, updated and now the fed taxes owed is higher than when I filed. What do we do here?
