Amending federal tax, takes me to state but wants to know what date i filed 1040x but havent filed because im trying to get past state it wants me to attach a copy of finalization but havent filed to get that.

If you are filing your federal amended Form 1040X today then put today's date and attach a copy to your state amended return when completed.
