Amending 2024 online doesn't give option to print new return or 1040

Finished amending my 2023 return but there's no option to print the amended return. I'm aware of the workaround to go to tax tools etc but that doesn't include 1040x. Shouldn't the software produce a 1040x for me and prompt me put in explanation of changes? 2022 desktop did it for me

Yes, but your screenshot doesn't show that you prepared an Amended Federal Return, only an Amended New Jersey return.  Here's more info on How to Amend a Prior Year Return.

Hi Marilyn, I did in fact prepare an amended federal return. I switched filing status to joint and added the spouse + their information

Anything else that could be causing it not to detect those changes?

You should get an option to Print/Save your amended return in the FILE section, after the page 'three more steps...'  You should also be able to use the left-side menu under Tax Tools > Tools > Print Center for an amended return.   Save a PDF copy to view your 1040X.   It could be that your refund/amount due didn't change, and you're not required to amend. 

You're asked about the reason for amending (changing filing status) in the interview.  If you're not able to view/print your return, try closing the program and clear your Cache and Cookies and retry.
