Did you complete the amended tax return using TurboTax?  If so, did you print, sign, date and mail the amended tax return to the IRS to include your payment for the taxes owed? An amended federal tax return, Form 1040X, can Never be e-filed.

You never need to pay twice...if you made a payment not showing on the 1040X then you can either manually enter it on the form OR enter it in the program... Search for "extension" to enter the extension payment or amount paid after 4/15.
