Amended return, I cannot change/zero-out the value in the Social Security section of my amended return? I'm trying to amend my 2017 tax return.

I initially filed my 2017 tax return as married filing jointly.

I'm trying to amend my 2017 tax return and file as married filing separately.

The software will not let me change/Zero-out the value for SS income  reported on a SSA-1099 form?

If the social security income belongs to your spouse and deleting the amount isn't working, you can delete it from the forms.

• Click on Forms in the upper right corner
• Click on "Social Sec" in the forms list (See screenshot below)
• Click Delete Form
• You will be asked to verify that you want to delete
