Amended return being direct deposit because of coronavirus

Refunds on amended returns have ALWAYS been sent as a paper check ... I have not seen anything that changes that fact.  And expect an amended return to take 4 months or longer to process especially in these crazy times. https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc308
