AMENDED FEDERAL E-FILE PENDING. This is my status... why is it so.

I completed my Federal Returns... but it says "Federal return pending" why does it say pending

Pending simply means that your e-filed return is on its way and that the government hasn't accepted or rejected it yet.

You posted it says "amended"return e-file pending however did you mean to file an amended return or an original return yesterday? Did you ever efile the original return successfully  in the past? Or is this the first return you are filing?
