This must be the most ridiculous experience with turbotax. I used the online product (premier) for year 2020, and for whatever reason some 1099-B and one 1099-DIV form is not reflected. Recently I received a note from IRS saying the records they got are not matching our tax returns forms. I double checked and found the issue. When I tried to file the amendment, I upload the combined PDF containing both 1099-DIV and 1099-B files from Robinhood to the 1099-DIV section. However, after that the 1099-B section is not loading anymore.
Somehow the software tried to be smart and update my 1099-B section with the PDF, but it failed and got in this weird case. I cannot delete the PDF I uploaded, neither can I edit the 1099-B section.
When I talk to the customer service, after one and half hours of back and forth, the representative told me there's no way to fix this issue other than gave me 20% off on a Desktop turbotax software. I cannot believe this is how turbotax handles this situation. I just need to file a simple amendment, but I had to purchase the software AGAIN? Their 20% off price is the same to what Amazon is selling for...
Turbotax's model of selling online and offline software separately is ridiculous to me. My experience with the technical issue is really left me with nothing to say. Someone please help me here :-(.

Ok ... if you are amending a 2020 return you CANNOT upload anything from the broker at this late date ... the only things available on the broker's site now is the 2021 information. So undo the import and enter the correct info manually.
Of course you don't need to do anything if you agree to the changes the IRS already made. Read the notice they sent carefully.
Nope, I didn't upload from the broker's site. I downloaded the PDF for 2020 and upload the file manually. I should've type them in manually instead, but at this point I cannot revert or cancel the amendment and get back to the clean start. That's why I got stuck.
The customer service representative did the screen share with me, and worked on that with me for over an hour and still cannot resolve this.
