Amend a return - Turbo tax instructions don't work

Hello,

I'm trying to amend my 2020 Federal return in Turbo Tax Premier desktop for Mac. Turbo Tax instructions say that there is an option to amend return at the bottom of the TT software homepage, but it doesn't exist on my computer. I have my 2020 form pulled up. Only think at the bottom says "no form." Any help? TIA!

Using the TurboTax 2020 desktop editions -

Click on Federal Taxes

Click on Other Tax Situations

Scroll down to Other Tax Forms

On Amend a return, click the start button

Quit Turbo Tax.  Then launch it again and before you open your return the Amend button should be at the bottom.   Or maybe go to File-Open and under the box of files there might be Amend a return you filed.  

Does the program know your 2020 return was filed?  You may have to update the status.  See if you can still update the status.  For the Desktop program you have to check the filing status inside the program.  Open your return and go up to menu item 

File > Electronic Filing > Check Electronic Filing Status
