after installing 2024 Turbo Tax it apperantly deleted all of my previous years tax returns

It certainly should not delete any previous tax files.  It should, however, create a new folder that has 2024 in it and no other years.  Please try a search on your computer for the other tax files and see if they are located in a different place on the computer.

I figured it out. When using the function "Find a Tax File" it was putting in the specific path Tax Files (*.tax2024) just need to change it to All files (*.*)
