I have started an amended 2024 Tax Return using the 2024 TurboTax Home and Business Desktop Application. When I navigate to Personal Income>Investment Income>Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other and click "Update", I am unable to add another investment. The page lists my investments, but I need to add one that was not reported, but when I scroll to the bottom to press the "Add Investments" button, the screen just goes white after that. Is there another way to add investment income? I am specifically trying to report some cryptocurrency sales.

Hi @ready3, I found a workaround. If you open your tax return, click on "Forms" at the top. Then click on "Open Form" and search for "Form 1099-B Worksheet" and select Open. Then it will give you an option of opening an existing form or "Enter Name of Broker". Select the second option and put in the name of the financial firm for your new investment. I noticed that it only allowed me to type in one character in the box, but that's okay, because after you open it, there is a line in the form called "Name of reporting financial institution". Fill in the full name there. Then you have the choice to go back to "EasyStep" to find the investment in the Personal Income>Investment Income Section. Alternatively, you can just fill in the form directly like I did.
Here's an FAQ: How to amend my return?

This is not a common error, this appears to be a problem with your connection to the software. Here are some very simple steps that you should try and then come back here and post if none of those work.
First, if you haven't already done so please restart your computer.
Second, clear your cache and delete your cookies. Here's how to clear your cache. Here's how to delete your cookies.
Third, try a different internet browser or different computer.
I am having the same issue, and this is the desktop version for a mac, not the web version. Any other thoughts on how to get this working?
If it is the same type of investment and in the same holding period, try to combine the investments if both are either long-term or short term gains.
@ready3 Unfortunately, I haven't figured out a solution for this issue yet, and all the tax "experts" who have responded haven't provided a useful response. Please let me know if you find a solution.
@RobertB4444 - I am using TurboTax Desktop on a Mac. I believe your recommended solution was assuming that I am using a browser? Could you please provide guidance on how to add investment income on an amended tax return for 2024?
Thanks. I see how that could work for 1099B but what about DIV , INT, MISC? Is anyone working on a fix?

I am having a similar problem with 1099-INT doing an amended return
I have exact same issue, trying to add missed 1099-DIV and when I click "Add Investment", nothing shows up. I am also using Mac desktop version to amend 2024 return.
@user17729963399 Once you've gone to Forms and opened the 1099-INT worksheet, the form should have a section called "Ownership" where you can select a checkbox for Taxpayer, Spouse, or Joint.
