According to Turbotax my refund should arrive 2/4/2019. What' s up?

TurboTax does not have any possible way of "knowing" when you're refund will be deposited in your account. The information is from the IRS and it's just an estimate. Additionally, while the IRS may transmit your return to your bank on a stated date, does not in any way mean the bank will receive it on that date, or that they will credit it to your account on that date. It can take up to 5 business days after the IRS actually transmits the refund, before it will show up in your account.

I understand what you as saying.  It is usually rather quick because I always file early.  Thanks for you comments.  I apprecaite it.

Based on the fact that the IRS is already behind because of the shutdown, and the potential of another shutdown on Feb 15th, I think it's kind of hard to really predict anything for this year, and even riskier to rely on past years average turnaround time of 3-4 weeks.
