2016 taxes I owed $1,771.00 to Federal and $2,480.00 in State. After my amended it said I have a refund $821 feds $305 so i still pay or wait for my refund.

If you amended without filing you will need to unamend and re input your numbers. \

If you filed the return and then did the amend you will need to pay the $1,771 and $2,480.

The amended return is a completely separate return and the refund amount is not affected by the original return
