1040X is very difficult to accomplish!! need help

I have the downloaded MAC version of turbotax, and need to amend the return to file a 1099-B.  I was able to search for the form, and have it populate my data from the aforementioned return, BUT, then it removes my federal information, when I try to print the 1040X.  I'm going to have to do this with pen and paper, and not happy bout that, but hopeful that perhaps someone on here can provide me very detailed instructions on how this is done.   greatful for any help offered.
