Why is TurboTax 2018 asking for 2017 expenses and showing me 2016 data as "last year"

I'm doing my taxes on turbotax premier 2018... i'm entering rental expenses.... each screen says its showing my expenses from 2016 and asking me to enter 2017 expenses.  Shouldn't it be asking for 2018 expenses???

That is a known bug.  They are working to fix it.  Only the heading display is wrong.  The amounts and calculations are right.

Amazingly, when I called turbotax support, the representative told me the problem was it didn't import 2017 info correctly, that it was in fact showing me 2016 data, and that I needed to enter 2017 info for it to start asking me for 2018 info.  However when tried entering "2017" info on the phone with her, it of course did not then start asking for 2018 data.  I was also able to confirm from last year's return that what turbotax was calling "2016" data was really from my 2017 return.  So of course it's just a typo.  But the official advice I got directly from the turbotax help line was shocking.

does anybody else feel uneasy that it is 2020 and the "BUG" is still there?

it is may 2020, i started a new return, hoping that it will be for the 2019.

the form asked me if i wanted to bring the info up from previous year, and I accepted. That did not work! it kept asking me to login, bringing me in a circular loop until i got frustrated and gave up.

so, i started from scratch, entering all the presonal data, to realize that at the top it kept asking me for 2018 data.

WTF?
