Why do i have no change in my return after filing an amended return that included 2 1098-e forms?

If you had no taxable income after taking the standard or itemized deductions on your original return, you would get no tax benefit from the additional adjustment to income to reduce it. Look at line 10 of form 1040 on your original return to see if it was already 0. If so, it can't be reduced any more by reducing adjusted gross income from adding the student loan interest deduction. There would be no reason to file an amended return.
