Question

We sent our federal payment by mail three weeks ago and the check still hasn’t posted. Should we be concerned?

we can't say. the IRS is behind in processing mail received so 3 weeks is not that long.  however, if you sent it by USPS without tracking info, it's possible it got lost in the mail. it's happened to me.

Thank you for your reply. We considered that it may have gotten lost but assumed it would be redirected back to our home. I’m crossing my fingers that the IRS is just backed up.
