Trying to amend my filing. I have successfully e-filed the original and have received email confirmation but it says I did not e-file hence not able to e-file amendment.

Why is TT not able to locate my original e-file?

You are likely in the wrong account.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

And ......before you click on "amend" you need to save your original return as a pdf or you will lose it when you amend.

I am using the Desktop version and am able to find an open the tax return. However, the application says that I have not eFiled the return so it cannot amend for me electronically. The alternative it ask is for me to send in the amendment by mail. I am located in Hong Kong so do not prefer to do this. I know I have eFiled because I have the email confirmation that is has been completed. Is there anything special I need to inform the application to correctly identify that my return has been eFiled?
