So I have not recieved my AMMEND return yet and I sent it back in feb, I understand they are behind but on my turbo app next to my amended forms it says PRINTED 8/30/2020, what does that mean??

Did you MAIL your amended return to the IRS? You say you amended in February---that sounds awfully early to send in an amended 2019 return. You are supposed to wait until your original return has been fully processed before you send an amended return, or it can cause extra confusion and delays. And why your account says "Printed" with an August date is a mystery to us if you did it in February. So we need a better understanding of just what you did in February.

And....yes the IRS is way behind in processing amended returns. Mailed returns piled up in trailers for months during the pandemic and they are finally opening over 11 million pieces of mail, so if you did mail your Form 1040X it could still be in the pile somewhere. It "normally" takes about four months for the IRS to process an amended return but it is taking much longer during the pandemic.
