NY state e-file is in pending status for over 6 hours

Often when there is a of of traffic, it can take longer for the state to accept the return- as long as you get the pending it is on its way so it will not be late even if it is rejected. If it is rejected, you will have a few days to correct and resubmit without late penalty- so do not panic but do not forget to check tomorrow.
