Need to file another return on same computer. program says to remove prior copy of turbo tax ?
need to file my sons taxes on the same computer. purchased another copy. when I tried to download another copy it said to remove the previous copy
Using the desktop editions of the TurboTax personal tax preparation software, you cannot install another edition of the same tax year on the same computer. Additionally, you did not need to purchase another edition of the desktop software.
The TurboTax desktop editions can create and complete as many tax returns as needed at no further charge after the initial purchase. Just start a New Tax Return by clicking on the File menu at the top left of the desktop program screen. The desktop editions include 5 free e-files for federal tax returns (number set by IRS rules). Any number of federal returns over the 5 can only be printed and mailed.
If you purchased the software from TurboTax you can get a refund for the edition you do not need. Go to this TurboTax website and request a refund - https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/forms/refund-request.jsp
