My tax return was accepted on 1-14-19. Im single. I was wondering if the irs is actually accepting tax returns now or are they waiting til the 29th? Thanks

The IRS has processed some "test" returns early in the season but they always emphasize that they don't "officially" start processing returns until January 28, 2019.  

It's a good sign that your Tax Return has been accepted (many have not!), but no guarantee you will get your refund any faster.
