My Son mailed the amendment in.Do we have to wait until his amendment is reviewed and approved before we can e-file our return? he changed his status to dependent.

Do I have to wait for his amendment to be approved before I e-file my return or do I have to mail it in?

It will take 3-4 months for his amended return to be processed.  You need to mail your own return.
