The IRS releases most refunds within 21 calendar days after the e-file has been accepted, not 21 days from the e-filing date. For mailed returns, allow 5-6 weeks from the postmark date. Even though the IRS issues most refunds in less than 21 days after they receive your tax return, it’s possible your tax return may require additional review and take longer.

Please wait 24 hours after your Federal return has been accepted before looking it up at Where's My Refund? See also Where's My Refund FAQs.

If it has been more than 21 days since your return has been accepted or the Where’s My Refund? tool directs you to contact them, then you will need to contact the IRS directly. Their telephone number is 1-800-829-1040- Business hours are Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time, unless otherwise noted. Residents of Alaska and Hawaii follow Pacific time. Puerto Rico phone lines are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time.

Turbo Tax will not have a status on your refund. If the IRS website says processing, this means they are working on it.

It is almost 21 days havent received my taxes thru direct deposit.  Irs tools ALWAYS saying that it is being processed.  My recovery rebate credit is included with my return.  Can you tell why it is taking too long to get posted in to my direct deposit account?

If your tax refund is taking longer than the typical 21 days to receive, see this FAQ regarding  What to do if it's been over 21 days.
