Question

I would like to know how my tax refund is coming along? I have been accessed by the IRS and someone was looking into it.

I talked to a tax expert last week and he said he would into it. It was supposed to take about 24 to 72 hours and I am still waiting to hear something.

An IRS tax agent who could research your refund issue or a TurboTax agent who could only check your e-file status? TurboTax gets no further information once your return is accepted, so they can't tell you what's happening with your refund. Check your e-file status in your online account. If accepted, you will have to contact the IRS for follow-up 800-829-1040. If not, the IRS never got it. You can still e-file by going through the app and clicking on review to see if there are e-file issues, and if not, then later click on the transmit now icon. You will get two e-mails, assuming Turbotax does spot an issue preventing this. if successful, one is that your return was submitted. The second is accepted or rejected. Rejected means the IRS computers found a problem that needs fixing, if possible. If you get a rejection message, post the full message in this forum, and we may be able to help you solve the issue preventing e-filing
