I was told my state refund was approved. But I checked the status and it is saying I won't be receiving it. And I don't know why. What do I need to do?

Wait for a letter from the state. Sounds like they seized it for a prior debt; such as back taxes, child support, court fines, etc. Or did you tell them to apply it against 2020 estimated taxes?
