The 1040-V prints out only when you are not paying electronically - direct debit, etc., and you are filing by mail. Follow the filing instructions about making the check payable to (United States Treasury), and so forth.

I set up direct deposit, will my 1040 V payments be automatically deducted or do I need to write a check?
