I received my 2nd stimulus check after filing my taxes. I have not cashed it, as I reported it as unreceived on my taxes

What should I do with the paper stimulus check? Will I still receive the money with my federal refund?

No, the IRS will account for the stimulus that crossed the tax return and correct your 1040.

If this still results in a refund, the refund will be less.

If this results in tax owed, the IRS will send you a letter. If this is the case, be sure to pay the tax by April 15th.

So I can cash the stimulus check & I will not be penalized? I filed my taxes before they started accepting them & have not yet received my refund. Is this normal?

Yes, you can cash the stimulus check. This is a normal situation that happened to some people. You will not be penalized for anything.
