I received a 1099C after I filed my taxes, i was told to wait until after I received my return to amend my taxes, but will it hold up my tax return?

No, not including the 1099C will not hold up the refund of the return already filed.
You will need to Amend the return after it is processed and our system if ready to do 2018 Amended returns (now projected to be ready 2-22-2019).
