I need to file my 2019 return. I had it all completed. It just wasnt ever officially filed. Is there a way to access my already completed return thats not filed ?

I purchased the app to file for 2019. Since its a previous year. But its making me restart everything. Can I get all of that information back that i already entered?

To access your prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on 2019 and Click on Download .tax file

Start the TurboTax program for 2019 on your computer. Click on File in the upper left of the screen. Click on Open Tax Return. Browse to the location where you downloaded the tax data file.

You need to download the tax file from online. It ends in .tax2019 to open in the Desktop program.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
