I’m not sure I filed our joint tax return correctly last year. Can we review our tax return with a TurboTax professional?

A 1098-T reports tuition paid by you (or on your behalf) to a college or university that you are attending.  That 1098-T may result in a higher refund for you because of education credits or may result in a taxable amount if your partner received scholarships or grants.  Either way you should definitely enter the numbers from the 1098-T into your tax return to see what it does.

Log in to your TurboTax account and click on the amend return button for your 2024 return and go to the education expenses section.  There you can enter the numbers from your 1098-T.  If you find that it has changed your return then you can file the amended return with TurboTax at that point.

The "Live" experts do not review past year returns.   They only help with preparing returns for the current tx season, which is for 2025.

What is it that you think you did incorrectly on your 2024 return?    Did you e-file?   Did the IRS process the return?  Did you receive your refund?

Thank you for your reply. My wife is a graduate student who received a 1098-T (no W-2 or any other form) for 2024. When e-filing for the both of us using TurboTax this past March, I don't recall being prompted to report any information from the 1098-T. I recently came across some information which suggested that the 1098-T income needed to have been reported, so now I'm worried that I missed something important. Both federal and state returns were accepted and we received a sizable refund.
