You need to file your 2020 tax return to get the stimulus check due you.

When you prepare your tax return for 2020 in TurboTax, you will be prompted to enter how much you received for your stimulus and then the program will calculate the amount of stimulus due you based on your income, number of dependents and payments already received. If any additional stimulus is due you, it will be used to reduce your 2020 income tax liability, and the balance will be refunded to you.

You will see the options when you are done entering your tax information and proceed to the review process.

You can file a tax return in 2020 to get your stimulus check, even if you aren't required to otherwise.

Thank you so much for your reply. When I prepare the tax for 2020, TurboTax do ask if I received the money from previous payments but the number does not include amount from my new born child. In the most recent stimulate check, the payment still surprisingly not include my child.  I think this might be a bug in your program.

Your 2020 tax return reported you and the number of qualifying dependents you have. If you entered the amount of stimulus payments you received when you prepared your return, you would have a recovery rebate credit listed on line 30 of your form 1040 if any stimulus payments were due you.

That amount would be included in your refund for 2020. If you received less than what your refund should have been, you will have to call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to found out why.

For the third round of stimulus, if you receive less than $1,400 for you are your dependents, then you will have to call the IRS to fix that.
