I had to pay in an addtl $172 for securities i received. The IRS sent a notice, and i paid the $-they didn't require me to amend 2015 return. What should i do now 2016?

You don't have to do anything about last year's notice on your 2016 return. When you sent in payment on the 2015 notice, that issue was resolved.
