Did you receive a letter from the IRS with a 14-digit control number/code asking you to go through the IRS identity verification process? If so, and if you successfully completed the verification per the instructions, then the IRS website FAQ says that it can take "up to 9 weeks" to finish processing a return after verifying. But that is an outlier figure, since it says "up to." I have seen anecdotal reports where it only took 2-4 weeks. So there's no way to predict any individual case. Continue to check the IRS "Where's My Refund" tracker tool occasionally.
