I went under uncommon income, childs income and put the amount in ordinary dividends and then PFD as prompted. If I just put it under Alaska PFD it prompts me to delete the 8814. Is there a different way I am supposed to do this?

There are different ways to report your child’s Permanent Fund Distribution, based on the amount of your child’s unearned income.  You haven’t necessarily done anything wrong, but the TurboTax program appears to be prompting you to use a method that’s more beneficial, based on the information that you’ve entered.

For guidance on how to enter the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend in TurboTax, please see the TurboTax Help article Where do I enter my 2021 Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (Alaska PFD)?.  There's a section lower in the article called What about my child's Alaska PFD? that should be helpful to you.

Please describe, in as much detail as possible, the screen you see relating to not being able to file until March 31st, if it’s still an issue.

Thank you, I already looked at that article on how to file my child’s pfd and did as it said, I have filed this exact way for years and never had this issue before. Here is a picture of what I’m getting when I go to file.

That is a notification that the form 8814 is expected to be ready in TurboTax by 3/31/2022.  This also gives you the opportunity to sign up for email notifications when the forms are ready.

Since you are electing to report the child's income on your return that form is needed in order to file.
