If you use online TT, you should start a new account with a new user ID.  You definitely do not want to transfer a 2017 joint return in to your 2018 "single" return.  It is way too messy to try and take a spouse's information out.  You will start your 2018 return from "scratch."  If you are asked if you want to transfer a 2017 return to your 2018 return, say "NO."

BTW--when you are asked later what your 2017 AGI is--if you filed a joint return for 2017 it is the same for both spouses, so you will need that information from your 2017 return.

If you want to use the Online version it doesn't open until sometime in December so you can't start a 2018 return  yet. Or you can buy the Desktop program now and start,  https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/

If you filed a joint return last year and were divorced by Dec 31 you need to start completely over and set up a new account and new username and password and not transfer from last year.  See
