I Federal refund is $1500 less than I expected and is from TPG Products

I was supposed to get $4197 before TT fees and received $2615. It was payed by TPG Products. Why is it missing so much money and how to I retrieve that?

Does the IRS website indicate that you were sent less than what was reported on your federal tax return Form 1040 Line 34? - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

If so, how much less?

Yes it does, I just checked. They said they will notify my by May 9th as to why it was reduced but it was reduced by $1500.

if EXACTLY $1500, that could be the advance tax credit for a child..... did you receive $300 per month for that child? if yes, you were supposed to note that on the tax return, which has the effect of reducing the $3000 child tax credit for what you had already received.
