If this first method doesn't provide the state returns, then use the second method which is to go to the Print Center inside the return.

Log into your account and go the 2016 Tax Timeline
Scroll to "some things you can do".
Find a link there for "download all forms and worksheets" .   Does that larger PDF have what you need?

If not, try this alternate method which is to open the return and print from the PRINT CENTER:

  • In the 2016 Tax Timeline, go to Some things you can do.
  • Choose Add a State.  (you don't really add one; that's just to get the return to open up.)
  • Once the return is open, then click on MY ACCOUNT up at the top.
  • Then choose PRINT CENTER.
  • Choose to "print/save/view this year's return."  You may have a choice for a PDF "as filed" and one with "all forms and worksheets".  I usually save both.  See if one of those 2 PDFs have your state returns.
NOTE:  Do NOT use this method to open a return to make changes to an already-filed return (one that has actually been mailed or efiled.)   If you later need to make changes, you have to go through the formal amending process, and your return must start off exactly as originally filed.

If you still can't download the returns from the Print Center, here's how you can phone TurboTax Support for realtime assistance.

Did you efile the state return, and has it been accepted?

What happens when you try to download/print the return? Does it show only the Federal return and not the State?

Yes, I efiled the federal return and I can download the federal return. I efiled both an Oregon and North Carolina state return, paid Turbo Tax the fee, and both are accepted. However, I cannot download either the Oregon or North Carolina returns. Also, I was informed online by Turbo Tax that I could not efile the North Carolina return as it would require a print signature and I would have to pay by check; I completed the North Carolina and checked only to efile the Oregon return by Turbo Tax efiled both state returns. I have been a Turbo Tax user for many years and I know how to download the tax returns; the state tax returns are simply not available for downloading on my account.

Thank you for this information!  I was able to find out return to print.  Every time I clicked Download/Print, it gave me the one page File by Mail Instructions for your 2019 Florida Tax Return.  So frustrating.  Going through "Add a State" then "Tax Tools" on the left, I was able to get to the print center.  Wacky system.

Thank you!

This is actually a thread from 2 years ago that transferred into this new Community forum, so the directions to the Print Center above are not the current steps, but perhaps you figured that out.

You mentioned Florida.   Florida does not have a state income tax.   There is not a "state return" per se, and most people will not have to file anything in Florida.    Florida filers who have businesses or rental property with tangible personal property have to file a Form DR-405 with the county property appraiser by April 1 of each year.   See this brochure:

http://floridarevenue.com/property/Documents/pt114.pdf

If you paid for a Florida state return you don't need, you can speak to Customer Support about a refund.

Hours are 5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern) Monday-Friday.

You didn't provide any information explaining your situation.   So here are 3 possibilities.  Is it one of these?

Are you using Online TurboTax and can't access your account (can't log in?)    We can tell you how to troubleshoot that to regain access, reset password, etc.

Or can you log in OK, but does TurboTax think you were finished, so your return is closed?   If that's the case, then to open up the unfiled return, click on "Add a State."   That doesn't really add one; that just opens the return interview back up.

Or do you log in OK, but find no evidence of the return you started, and it's acting like it wants you to start one?   If that's the situation, we can tell you how to troubleshoot for multiple accounts.

BTW, this is a public Internet forum.   It looks like you posted your phone number in this public forum, but the forum privacy filter luckily appears to have redacted it for your protection.  Please do NOT post personal info in this forum.  No telling who could have phoned you and pretended to be from TurboTax in order to scam you.     It may be possible to resolve your issue in this forum, but if you need to speak to TurboTax Support, we can tell you how to reach them.

This is a public Internet forum--a user community.  TurboTax Support will not email you your 2019 AGI.

You said 2019, so see this FAQ on how to find your 2019 (current year) AGI:
