Question

I am filing an amended return and need to pay taxes, but when I put in the debit information for my checking account, it rejects it. Has anyone dealt with this?

So is it not liking the bank account and routing numbers?

This is just a guess, but is it Bank of America by any chance? If it's Bank of America, be aware that in some states, BOA has 2 different routing numbers--one for paper checks and one for electronic ACH deposits. So some people using BOA will have a routing number shown on their checks that does not match the routing number to be used for their electronic deposits. BOA filers should log into their Online Banking at BOA and in the account information look at the routing number they are to use for ACH electronic deposits.
