I accidentally missed deadline. Thought it was today. I need to file. Getting no where on your site. Please help?

How can I start my tax return after missing deadline?

To begin a 2022 tax return with TurboTax after October 16, 2023 you must purchase the CD/download version and install it on your personal computer. You cannot now begin a 2022 tax return with online TurboTax.

And....e-filing is now closed for new 2022 returns. After you use the desktop software on a full PC or Mac to prepare your 2022 return, it will need to be filed by mail.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
