It can take up to three weeks for your refund to arrive if you elected to receive it via paper check.

Returns are usually accepted within 48 hours, but can take up to 72 hours. While your return is pending acceptance they are checking your personal information to make sure it matches their records, sometimes that can take them a little longer than the average estimated time. With the recent changes in the tax code, it may take a little longer than what you are used to for the returns to be processed.
