Question

How do I submit a copy of my W-2? My employer incorrectly withheld taxes from another state, and TT said I'd need to send in W-2s when I e-file, but how do I do that?

I already submitted my taxes (e-filed), and I expected there would be instructions at the end about how to include my W-2's in my filing, but there were no instructions. Should I just mail them to the IRS?

Form W-2s are normally imported, or scanned in, or typed in in the Wages and Income section of TurboTax.  If you included the information, it will be sent as part of the e-file and you will not need to send any paper copies to the IRS.

If you did not include the information from the Form W-2s, then you will need to wait until the IRS finished processing your return and then submit an amendment. This is free with TurboTax and many, many people receive tax forms after they file, so the IRS is used to amendments for this reason. It is very normal for them.

This is a TurboTax Help article with some Do's and Do nots of amending

The IRS does not care that withholding was for the wrong state. that's a matter for you and the states to work out.  generally, that's done by filing a nonresident return for the state where the withholding was. the state will have received a copy of the w-2 so it knows about the w/h.  if your resident state has an income tax you file a  resident state return and pay the balance due. you can not use the wrong state's w/h to pay your resident state income tax.  don't send in the w-2s if a state wants them they'll send you a notice.
